Soroptimist International of Upper Montgomery County Maryland
We Empower Women & girls
Soroptimist International of Upper Montgomery County Maryland (SIUMC) is the local chapter of Soroptimist International of the Americas Inc., an international volunteer organization for women whose mission is to improve the lives of women and girls, through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
We partner with the City of Gaithersburg, educators and other organizations to fulfill our mission and continue our local service projects:
SIUMC Recognized with Outstanding Organization Award

Monthly service projects

We are collecting socks and clothing for some specific children living. The parents hope to eventually move to their own apartment.
October
We are doing an educational project at Seneca Heights this month. Members will be working the details. We are also preparing for our first Dream It Be It Program of the year that will be held in November. As a fundraiser, we are selling White House ornaments for $25.
